A Partnership BETWEEN Veterans, FOR Veterans

Phase2 Advantage - Boots to Books Partnership

$150 Donation Made to Veterans for Every Course Enrollment

SAVANNAH, Georgia – Cybersecurity training provider Phase2 Advantage and Veteran Service Organization Boots to Books have entered into a partnership in which Phase2 will donate $150 for every student that enrolls in a cybersecurity certification course provided by Phase2 Advantage to support veterans and the military affiliate community.

Phase2 Advantage’s Director of Operations, Michael I. Kaplan, is an Army veteran who understands the necessity for available assistance for transitioning service-members. Boots to Books will use these donations to continue the impact they have been able to have thus far, providing veterans and their families the best education and employment opportunities possible.

Boots to Books President, Peter Cline, who is also an Army veteran said, “Phase2 Advantage is the perfect partner. The organization’s shared values and passions for innovation and supporting our veteran community were apparent from day one. With their support, more veterans will get free educational support and be placed at the nation’s best companies, completely free to them.”

Phase2 Advantage has conducted training for a wide variety of government agencies, academic institutions, and corporations, both in the United States and internationally. They provide subject matter expertise on a variety of cybersecurity topics and implements a practical approach using immersive learning and experiential knowledge that is uniquely relevant to veterans entering our modern workforce.

Paul, a Navy veteran who is currently employed as an Information Systems Security Engineer and was a recipient of a Boots to Books funded Phase2 Advantage cybersecurity course said, “The course itself was extremely current and included Covid and current pandemic trends. That is a true testament to Michael’s passion for providing relevant training and course material capable of generating real world results for veterans.”

Phase2 Advantage is extremely enthusiastic about the potential of their relationship with Boots to Books. “A collaborative partnership like this doesn’t present itself often,” noted Kaplan. “The chance to have a positive impact on transitioning veterans, educational initiatives, and workforce skill development simultaneously is truly a unique opportunity.”

With this support, Boots to Books has set April and September as the months they will conduct Veterans Only Virtual Hiring Fairs, entirely browser-based job fairs where the military community can live-chat with recruiters and get hired. The last hiring fair featured Amazon, Royal Caribbean, and 15 more companies.

Boots to Books has helped over 700 veterans and their families this year, provided over $23,000 in resources such as professional certifications and textbooks, and placed veterans at companies including Amazon and Oracle using their innovative virtual events, completely free of charge.
